Careers Seminar: Changing World of Work

How the changing world of work will affect you (and what to do about it)

Terms such as ‘alternative staffing’, the ‘gig economy’ and the ‘internet of things’ are being bandied about. What do they mean? And what are their implications for you?

The exponential growth of digital connectivity, the drive to reduce costs and to increase productivity, and the struggle for work/life balance, are strongly influencing how we find work, where we work, and how we work.

This seminar will be of interest to those wondering if technological, social, and environmental changes are a barrier or an opportunity to future employment, and what their place in this world will be.

The seminar will be facilitated by Peta Mobberley (Career Development Manager) and Tamsin Kingston (Career Development Adviser) from the University of Auckland Business School Careers Centre.
