In association with the Faculty of Engineering, we are pleased to invite you to a presentation by Andrew Grant of McKinsey & Company. Andrew will talk about the ways in which technology is rapidly transforming workplaces and the very nature of work
McKinsey has undertaken a significant research project to understand the practical implications of technological change for individual professions and economies. Andrew will discuss this research with particular focus on the implications for the academic profession and for New Zealand.
About the speaker
Andrew Grant graduated with a BE(Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Auckland. After stints as a Rhodes Scholar and a structural engineer specialising in earthquake engineering, he joined McKinsey & Company in 1992. He currently leads the firm's Global Public Sector Practice, focusing on solving strategic challenges for public sector institutions, and is Chair of its Risk & Audit Committee. His advisory history spans a broad range of industries and geographical areas, including basic materials and agribusiness, consumer goods, and the public sector.
